Eligibility and Selection Criteria
- Players must be retired for at least five years before becoming eligible.
- Batters: At least 8,000 runs and 20 centuries in either Tests or ODIs, or an average above 50 in either format.
- Bowlers: Minimum 200 wickets in a major format, with a strike rate under 50 (Tests) or 30 (ODIs).
- Wicketkeepers: 200 dismissals in either format.
- Captains: At least 25 Tests and/or 100 ODIs as captain, with a win percentage of 50% or more.
- Special inductees: Those who may not meet the above but have had a fundamental effect on the sport can be nominated by the committee (including journalists, umpires, etc.).
