The IPL 2025 league stage concluded with the following standings (Pld = matches played; W/L = wins/losses; NR = no-result; NRR = net run rate). The top four teams (marked Q) qualified for the playoffs.

Key highlights:

  • Punjab Kings and RCB finished tied on 19 points (each 9–4 with 1 NR), with PBKS ahead on NRR. Gujarat Titans were 3rd on 18 point, and Mumbai Indians 4th on 16. These four (PBKS, RCB, GT, MI) advanced to the playoffs.
  • Mumbai Indians notably had the highest NRR (+1.142) in the league, even though they finished 4th in points.
  • Delhi Capitals ended 5th with 15 points (7–6, 1 NR, just missing out on the playoffs by one point. Their campaign included one abandoned match (Punjab vs DC on May 8).
  • Lucknow and Kolkata both finished on 12 points. Lucknow (6–8) had NRR –0.376, and KKR (5–7, 2 NR) had a slightly better NRR (–0.305).
  • Rajasthan and Chennai struggled at the bottom, both with 8 points (4–10 records) and negative NRRs.

Playoff schedule: As per IPL official sources, the top two teams meet in Qualifier 1 and the 3rd/4th teams in the Eliminator. Qualifier 1 (Punjab vs RCB) is set for May 29, 2025, and the Eliminator (GT vs MI) on May 30, 2025. Qualifier 2 and the Final are scheduled for June 1 and June 3. (As of the league stage end, no playoff matches have been played.)
