ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played from 7 February to 8 March 2026 in India and Sri Lanka, with 20 teams, eight venues, and triple-header days in the group phase featuring afternoon and evening games.

Tournament Overview

The event runs from 7 February to 8 March 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka over 29 days.
Twenty teams are split into four groups for the first round, followed by Super 8s, two semifinals and the final.

Venues and Host Cities

Five venues in India will be used: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad; Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai; Eden Gardens, Kolkata; MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai; and Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
Three venues in Sri Lanka host the remaining fixtures: R. Premadasa Stadium and SSC Ground in Colombo, and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.

The tournament opens on 7 February with Pakistan vs Netherlands in Colombo (11:00 AM local), West Indies vs Bangladesh in Kolkata (3:00 PM), and India vs USA in Mumbai (7:00 PM).
Group-stage games generally follow three daily time slots – 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM local – with India’s headline group matches including India vs USA (7 Feb, Mumbai, 7:00 PM), India vs Namibia (12 Feb, Delhi, 7:00 PM), India vs Pakistan (15 Feb, Colombo, 7:00 PM) and India vs Netherlands (18 Feb, Ahmedabad, 7:00 PM).

Super 8s, Semifinals and Final

Super 8s matches are labelled with groups X and Y (X1–X4, Y1–Y4) and are spread across Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Colombo and Kandy, mostly in the 7:00 PM prime slot, with some afternoon 3:00 PM games.
The two semifinals are scheduled in Kolkata and Mumbai in the evening (7:00 PM), while the final is listed for 8 March 2026 at 7:00 PM, with Ahmedabad and R. Premadasa, Colombo noted as primary and reserve/backup venues.
